sills LA-ICP-MS data reduction software
SILLS (Signal Integration for Laboratory Laser Systems) is designed for data reduction and concentration calculation of transient Laser Ablation ICP–MS signals, and is written in MATLAB (The MathWorks, Inc.). The software is primarily designed for user friendly and flexible data reduction to obtain quantitative analyses of fluid, melt or mineral inclusions enclosed in mineral or glass host, but can also be used for homogeneous samples.
SILLS is described in the Download Appendix (A6) of the MAC Short Course 40: Laser -Ablation-ICP-MS in Earth Sciences: Current practices and outstanding issues (PDF, 587 KB).
The SILLS software is available on request free of charge.
To get the software (stand alone version with or without MCR (Matlab Compiled Runtime or the script version) you should download the license agreement, sign it and send it by email to Marcel Guillong. We will then contact you and send a download link of the software by email.
By signing the license agreement you basically agree to not distribute the software to 3rd parties.
Additionally we request a citation of the above mentioned paper (Mineralogical Association of Canada Short Course 40, Vancouver, B.C., p. 328–333) when SILLS was used for data reduction for results in a publication.
